The Whole Enchilada
This morning started off with a sputter. We were supposed to be in a theater all day getting various briefing (aka death by powerpoint), but it snowed last night and there were some sort of power problems at the theater. The briefings were canceled. I'd be happy about it, but we will still have to sit through the briefings another day. I would have rather just gotten it over with. So far, my day has had one highlight... The very delicious enchiladas I had at the DFAC here on Custer Hill. We've been here for long enough for me to be pretty sure that Thursday is Enchilada Day at the Devils' Den DFAC. This is good stuff. I've been reading a book called The Kite Runner. If you want to learn a little bit about Afghanistan, this is a good book. It's a novel... it's fiction, but it's very informative. /"> ![]() That's all for now. Stay tuned for more excitement live (ok... not really) from Fort Riley, KS. Labels: Army Chow, Briefings, Enchiladas, Snow, The Kite Runner |
