Thanksgiving is almost here...

I am very thankful to have a great wife to be coming home to tomorrow!

I ran a lot this week. Sunday I did a 10K (6.2 miles, a couple on Monday, 5 miles yesterday and a couple this morning in the cold rain. Not to shabby.

I'm still doing well academically. However, I am no longer No. 2. I dropped down to No. 7. Many people are really doing well. The top ten are still all within a point or two. I'm not out of the running.

We are doing platoon peer evaluations this morning. It's pretty easy to pick a few folks to place at the top and bottom of the platoon. Many people stand out in there own positive or negative ways. It's ranking all of the people in the middle that is difficult. I don't really like doing peer evaluations.

Rock Climbing

I went to Springfield to do indoor rock climbing yesterday. It was fun and I think I may be hooked. I want to go back today, but I don't feel like driving back out there. I'm going to go back next weekend. When I get home, I think I will take it up and maybe it's something Anne and I can do together.

Blisters...

I have some seriously huge blisters on my feet right now. I did that 8 miler on Saturday, and I was not careful about my socks. I hadn't had a problem with blisters on the 4 miler or 6 miler. We rucked out to the mine warfare class yesterday. That was about 7 miles. I'm going to take it easy for a day or two. We have a 4 day weekend. I'll just hit the gym, swim etc. Oh... I'm still struggling with my weight. I'm 199 right now. I think I'm a hair slimmer, but It's still too much weight to carry around while running.

Not too much else to tell at the moment.

Cratering Charge

a cratering charge

... a crater

I got some dynamite and C-4 residue on my camera case. I'm sure this will make going to the airport interesting.

After a Month...

The Blog is finally back up. I had to put a boot in Yahoo's ass to get it back up. A lot has happened in the last month of EOBC. I'm number 2 in the class academic standing out of 67 LT's. I'm less than a point away from number 1. I didn't really expect to do this well. I knew I'd do fine, but now that I am in the hunt for the top spot... I need to keep it going.

I went to the demo range the other day. I'll post some pictures from the range later (today) when I have time to scale them down to an appropriate size and quality for the web.

I'm off to do an 8 miler with the rucksack.
