Ruling Temporarily Halts Voter ID Law

Found this article on WSBTV.com This is nuts! It's not a poll tax! It is good way to be sure that dead people aren't voting.

This is outrageous! Judges judge, legislatures make laws. Period. Unless it flies directly in the face of our Constitution, Judges HAVE NO SAY.

This is why many people are upset right now over Miers. I'm remaining nuetral, because I do not know her. I wish the hearings would hurry up and come, so everyone would shut up! :)

You're right it isn't a poll tax...but if you are going to support this measure, and I do, you need to make sure that the agencies that provide photo id's --like the DMV and whoever issues State ID cards are open during the evening and on weekends so that people who wor and can't afford to take the day off have an opportunity to get one--also you need to put an office in the poorer neighborhoods so all people have access to one--poor people don't drive as much and don't have cards--also, I think you are going to have to do something about the cost...

The state will issue ID cards for free, for those that can't afford one. They do need to get more offices out there though. They could also set up mobile offices too.
