Good Times at Fort Riley

Well, I've been here at Fort Riley since Sunday and this is the first time I've been able to get on the Internet. I think I'll have better access in Afghanistan. Things are good. Nothing really to report of great interest. I've been issued a bunch of stuff... some of this stuff, I have brought with me... so now I have too much stuff. I'll have to send some of it home and keep a few items that will be good to have as spares. It's been really cold and snowy here. I've gone running twice and it was not fun. Partly because I am way out of shape... and partly because running into the wind when it's 2 degrees out is just not fun. I have gotten a lot of shots and I got nailed with the smallpox vaccine. My arm has only itched a little so far. I'm sure it will be unbearable in a day or two. But hey... If someone ever hits me with it... I'll be good to go. I went to Manhattan, KS today... nothing to exciting to see. I'm hoping that I'll be able to post more as soon as I can reliably get on the net.
