Jarhead

(Me in February 1991... not the movie Jarhead) I saw Jarhead on Saturday. There was plenty of BS in this film. I don't really need to elaborate, because if you've served in the US Army or the USMC, you probably noticed a lot of the BS. If you haven't, it doesn't really matter too much anyway. There was one thing in the movie that did ring true though. I am a veteran of DS/DS. Coming home from a 100 hour ground war, never having fired my weapon, to throngs of cheering people didn't seem right. This movie captures that awkward feeling... And for that, it was worth seeing, to know that others had that feeling too. I was going to go into a whole anti-Lee Greenwood rant, but I'll just drop it.
